Inspired by the beauty and purity of Momchilovtsi, we became captives of the secret of longevity. We have made it our mission to discover how nature can give us health and longevity without disturbing its balance. We believe that nature holds the right key, and that it is the most powerful healing force we can harness.<\/p>\n

And what better place to start our journey than Momchilovtsi – the mystical center of longevity, whose fame for the secrets it hides has gone beyond the borders of Bulgaria and has reached as far as the Celestial Empire, and where the main food of the locals is yogurt and dairy products.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

We knew that one of the secrets lies in the Bulgarian yoghurt, which has been part of the daily food of the locals, but has also become a symbol of Bulgarian culture and national identity, bringing health and longevity.<\/p>\n

And the secret of Bulgarian yogurt was solved in the early 20th century by Nobel Prize winner Ilya Mechnikov – the father of modern immunology. Believing that intestinal flora is the main reason for our short life, the famous Russian scientist came to the conclusion that the only food that can limit the development of putrefactive bacteria in our intestinal system is Bulgarian yoghurt. And its strength lies in something so small – the presence of the rod-shaped bacterium, named after its place where it was found – Bulgaria: Lactobacillus delbureckii subsp. bulgaricus.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

We set ourselves the challenge to find this “magic wand” hidden in Momchilovtsi – an area with exceptional conditions for natural cultivation of Lactobacillus bulgaricus and to make with it an elixir accessible to all people experiencing the consequences of the stress and unhealthy environment of modern life.<\/p>\n

In this mission we trusted one of the best Bulgarian scientists in the field of dairy biotechnology – academician Maria Baltandzhieva, whose name is written in the Golden Book of Inventors of Bulgaria. And this was no accident , as she had dedicated her life to research in search of the best natural strains without disturbing the balance of nature. Five years of patient research and trials were our way to the treasure of longevity hidden in the pure nature of Momchilovtsi. When in 2020 the first probiotic strain from Momchilovtsi with exceptional biochemical characteristics – Lactobacillus bulgaricus RM1 (Lactobacillus bulgaricus RM1) was selected and isolated.
